1. Senior Test Engineer… What exactly is your role?
At Red Carpet IT Services , I am responsible to work with customers on multiple applications which involves end to end testing using CI/CD approach and also testing applications with microservices in an Agile environment. As a test engineer my role involves working with business and product teams to ensure successful product launch.
2. What is your background?
I am an avid agile enthousiast with 14 years of test experience. The breadth of my experience comes across various domains which include Banking, Mobile applications, Storage and Data services. I come with strong experience working in scrum teams and business analysis.
3. What activities give you the most energy?
I love spending time with my family and working in my garden. On the professional side , doing challenging tasks and accomplishing them gives me the boost I need . I like to be in an environment where I can think beyond the scope of the function thus getting a more holistic coverage on the tasks I am involved in.
4. Where do you see opportunities and challenges in this role?
My role provides me with the opportunity to think on behalf of the customer providing me with a wide array of expertise on real life challenges faced by the customer . Being a test engineer also allows me to play a critical role in the product development life cycle which makes my role very crucial in the scrum team . Every opportunity comes with challenges and solving them in a harmonious way within the team is the best part of my day.
5. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to do fitness and spend time with family . I am a ferocious reader and also have keen interest in sketching and painting . I enjoy keeping myself updated on upcoming technologies.
