1. ICT consultant… What exactly is your role?
I am an ICT Consultant at Red Carpet. I am a specialist on Hitachi Storage systems & VMware: currently working with Hitachi high-end systems, Brocade switches and VMware ESXi.
2. What is your background?
I finished technical studies and computer science. In the late 80’s I started at IBM with DOS, later on NetWare expert, followed by Windows Server and for the last 15 years Storage/Backup/VMware for a large bank.
3. What activities give you the most energy?
I get the most energy from working with a team to create the best solutions for the customer.
4. Where do you see opportunities and challenges in this role?
We are in the middle of a transition to different ways to create centralized storage; such as VMware VSAN or Hitachi Virtual Storage Software Block.
5. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Running, hiking and geocaching. Go out in the winter with my Nordic tipi. Training agility with my dog. Use the best app ever: Storytel.
