1. Operations Manager… What exactly is your role?
Within Red Carpet IT Services, I am responsible for all business processes related to HR, Recruitment, Marketing & Communications such as personnel management, onboarding, personal development and employer branding.
2. What is your background?
I started my career in recruitment at an employment agency. After a few years working as a (corporate) recruiter and field manager, I started my own company. Here I was involved in process improvement, team effectiveness and business development, mainly within Health Management at large companies. After a few years, I sold the company and continued to develop within my expertise.
The common thread in my career is that I almost always started in new positions to give them form and substance, especially within scale-ups. This requires not only flexibility and improvisation, but also the support of all stakeholders within the organisations, which has made my various jobs very interesting and instructive.
3. What activities give you the most energy?
I get energy from seeing other people grow within an ambitious and growing organisation. It is nice to see how a vision is transformed into a plan and to get everyone so far in his/her development to think along and build on a joint success. Besides this, I get energy from creating win-win situations for both the organisation, the employee and the client, and I like to look at the different sides to find the best solution.
4. Where do you see opportunities and challenges in this role?
Red Carpet IT Services will transform in the coming period. We want to become the best partner and most attractive employer within our expertise. One of my spearheads is to give shape to the employer branding in which topics such as the benefits package, online marketing and employee satisfaction are at the top. This will help ensure that we can build a great club of enthusiastic and engaged people within a future-proof organisation.
5. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to do fun things with my husband and 4-year-old daughter. We like travelling to Asia or America. Besides that, I like to cook in my spare time. From Indonesian cuisine (my roots), to Thai, Italian or Moroccan. My family and friends are only too happy to come and eat and taste. They even gave my kitchen a name which is known as ‘Toko Tan’.
