1. Legacy Transformation Manager… What exactly is your role?
A wonderful role to make and keep the mainframe future-proof with our customers. But also to ensure the right transition to other platforms is done. I am ultimately the project manager who makes it happen. Transformation to keep the business going.
2. What is your background?
After a start in the mainframe world as a systems programmer in the 90s, later as a project manager, I also spread my wings to other platforms and projects in different management roles. But since 2018 I’m back on the nest of major mainframe sites.
3. What activities give you the most energy?
It gives me great pleasure and energy to make plans and to achieve results with a team. Can do!
4. Where do you see opportunities and challenges in this role?
Almost everything quickly becomes legacy. I see great opportunities for companies that want to modernize, change their IT environment(s). But don’t forget the human factor in transitions.
5. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family and friends. Watching Rugby League, cycling hard, sailing with my open boat on the sea in Denmark and much more.
